Description

The calculation module allows to calculate different connection types. The following types can be selected:

  • Longitudinal pin under torque
  • Guide pin under bending force
  • Cross pin under torque
  • Bolt connection under shearing force (double shear)

All calculations are based on generally accepted literature (e.g., Niemann and Decker). Futhermore, different pin types are available for the calculation: solid pin/bolt, grooved pin, (hollow) dowel pin as well as coiled spring pin.

An extensive material database is available. The user can manually enter material properties. There, the E-Module, tensile strength, kind of material and yield point can be defined. The permissible surface pressures are determined from yield point and tensile strength and can be defined manually.

The calculation results are determined and displayed during the enter of values. After the calculation is finished, a calculation report can be generated. The report includes all important input values as well detailed results.

The calculation report is available in HTML and PDF format.
